About Latex and Foam Weapons
We now carry several lines of Latex foam and other foam swords. While different brands vary in construction, these weapons are made for use and looks. These are a great addition to a costume for situations where you can't carry a real sword, but want something that looks the part - and they are made to be used. Forgotten Dreams Latex Foam Weapons - Very light-weight, durable painted and coated latex foam weapons. We carry many types and can also order many others by request. Eagle Flex Latex Foam Weapons - These latex foam weapons are durable and have widely rounded "blade" edges to further buffer hits. They tend to be slightly heavier and are slightly weighted for balance. Soon to come: Calimacil Foam Weapons - These are "the Rolls Royce" of foam weapons. These weapons are weighted and extremely real-looking, with a high level of detail and quality in every way. The Calimacil foam is outstanding in terms of heat tolerance, water tolerance, and maximum blade use, even on steel armor at a full swing. The foam contains NO Latex. We will be able to special order any of the Calimacil swords and the color can be personalized. Email for details. Caring for these foam weapons is very easy... try not to leave them in direct sunlight or in a hot car. Some types are more resistant to hot temperatures than others. Some are more water resistant than others. If you have any questions about these weapons, please contact us. We want you to be happy with your purchase! Other Notes: These weapons are not recommended for thrusting moves. Merchant's Wares is not responsible in any way for any type of harm or damage while using these products. They are designed to allow people to hit each other without injury, however, as with all physical activities, foam "weapon" fighting can be dangerous. These products are designed for use by adults or by individuals with appropriate adult supervision. Many LARPs are very specific in their safety requirements, so check with yours before you order.
