Here are the answers to some of the questions you may have about our products and services.1. What are the the items you sell used for?Most of my items are designed for use in Live Adventure Roleplaying Games, or anything that requires medieval-style clothing, costuming and accessories. Many of our products are useful for a variety of other hobbies and activities as well. Boffer and foam weapons can be great toys for the kids, satin pants can be comfy at home, and long skirts and dresses are great for everyday wear.2. What is Live Action/Adventure Roleplaying?It's a hobby that hundreds of thousands of people enjoy in the US every year, and even more in Europe. Typically, events between a few hours to a whole weekend, and the participants have personaes that they create and use throughout the game session. There are many styles and types of Live Action/Adventure Gaming, but one of the most common is Medieval Fantasy settings - you can be the hero or heroine of the story - you help to create it by playing a role in a medieval setting.For more information, try www.NEROLARP.com, which has a large number of chapters throughout the US, or search the internet for Live Action Roleplaying Games.3. There is a lot of stuff here, but I don't see a picture of what I want, do you have one?The answer is probably yes - but it may not have made the update to the webpage yet. I am working on creating all new and better pictures. If I have a picture, I would be happy to send one through email.4. How do I know what shows Merchant's Wares will be sponsoring a booth/table? Where can I go to see your gear in person?The Events Calendar is the best way to tell where we'll have a booth or table set up. If you know of a show that might be useful for us to travel to, please feel free to contact us and we'll look into it. If you organize shows or events and would be interested in having Merchant's Wares as a vendor/exhibitor, please let us know.If you can't get to a show but will be in northern New Jersey, send an email and you can set up an appointment.5. Your website mentions events - what kind of events?We hold Medieval Themed Mystery Feasts in the winter and Adventure Days based on the NERO(R) Live Adventure Gaming System in the summer months. Feasts and Adventure Days will be announced on our site and also on www.NEROLARP.com site, as we hold these events through the Avendale Chapter of NERO International. You must be a member to register for the events, but you can also make arrangements to see and purchase our wares during the events.6. I found an error on your website - what should I do?Please let us know! There's a lot of items and we're always upgrading the website - so we're not yet caught up! Discounts may be offered for your help!7. What kind of foam do you use/carry?As of now, we use mainly the beige/pink Tundra foam pipe insulation for all kitespar weapons. We also use Frost King pipe foam, but it's beng phased out for reasons of price and availability.8. How do I know if your foam boffer weapons will meet my requirements?There are a lot of games out there, and many of them have slightly different standards. I have found that most "light touch" games are met by the weapons made to NERO safety codes. However, it is up to you to decide if the specs will meet your needs. More in-depth weapon building specifications can be found under the "About Boffer Weapons" section, but please feel free to ask so that I can provide what you need.9. How can I save on shipping?You can save on shipping in a few ways. If you are making a large order or an order with multiple "over-length" items, contact me before you order. I will help you save on shipping as best I can. You should always get a response within 24 hours with the exception of weekends. If you can arrange to pick it up, or to meet a Merchant's Wares rep for delivery, or if you're from a college group or military group, please contact us through email.10. Are you currently looking to distribute more types of goods?Yes - specifically, as of 2/18/08, I am looking for good sources of:Ex-Caliber latex foam weapons - including coreless throwing daggers
