In our news...
June 13-15th, we had a great time at the NERO Massachusetts event in Franklin MA. Just in - we'll be at the Totally Normal Event run by Jeff Mach on June 28th in Whippany, NJ. This is an indoor Rennaisance Festival-like event, and open to ages 16+.
We're also hoping to have a representative at Equinox, in Sparta NJ during their next event, which coincides with DexCon. If you are local to northern NJ, and might want to help me sell my wares for trade or other compensation, please email me! Other events through the summer include DexCon on July 16-20th and Connecticon on August 1-3rd in Hartford, CT. At Connecticon, we'll be running Boffer Tournaments through the weekend, with prizes including Merchant's Wares credit, discounted and free NERO games and memberships and atleast one sword. We tenatively plan to be at Knight Realms on July 26th, in Sparta, NJ.
We do apologize, but due to an illness in the family, we are unable to make it to the Blood Games in Charleton, MA, but if you are a larper and near the area, you should go anyway! Prizes like Iron Leige Weapons (which we hope to carry soon!) will be available to those who attend.
NEW!!! Having a medieval themed birthday party? We'll come and run boffer tournaments Some of our new items include sturdy canvas belt pouches, single pocket and double pocket, more vests, shields, belts and limited customizable embroidery (by request). We're still slowly updating pictures, so keep checking for new and seasonal items! We've also found a supplier (Potted Fox) for simple suede leather belt pouches and potentially for suede or leather weapon frogs (in addition to our braided leather cord frogs).

only be used to send out Feast and our Event Calendar Updates - we'll never sell or
trade your email for any reason! If you recieve a Newsletter and do
not wish to, please contact us and your name and email will be removed
from our list.
If you are interested
in LARPing or Renaissance Faires, feel free to ask us about them! Not
only do we carry LARPing supplies, but we can also help with costume
and character development, and will work with you to fit your budgetary
needs.

Now accepting Credit Cards on Site!

Merchant's Wares is now able to accept credit cards on site. We'll now be able to accept cash, credit cards and checks ($15 charge for bounced checks) at camps and conventions.
If you don't have PayPal, you can also call and place an order. To do so, please send email with a contact number and a good time to call.
We'll also be adding some cooler weather items to the catalog shortly, including fleece hats, mantles, capes and cloaks. Because of the size of fleece cloaks, please pre-order before an event so that we know to bring extras. Often, we only carry one or two in stock as examples.

Welcome to Merchant's Wares! We have a large selection of medieval costuming, boffer swords and supplies, jewelry and all sorts of other interesting items for LARPing (Live Action RolePlaying) and other medieval event needs.
You can order direct through the site, or ask a question if you are looking for something custom-made to your specifications. We also travel to events, faires, conventions and other shows - where else can you find soeone to bring the store to you?!

Upcoming Services
- ever wanted to learn to make chainmail, boffers, simple sewing projects or other crafty things? We're considering holding classes, either on your site or ours, for those who'd like to learn to make their own boffers, chainmail and other gear. If you're interested in more information, please send email.
Winter Feast Events
- During the cold winter season when warm camps are hard to come by, last year we ran two Winter Mystery Feast and Tournament events. Based on the success of the small venture, we'd like to do it again with a slightly different format. Join us for a cozy winter gathering with great food, mysteries, puzzles, traps, contests and tournaments held in a lakefront Banquet Hall on Greenwood Lake in Hewitt, NJ.
- last year, we collaborated with 3 NERO chapters to bring stories and information to a group of upto 30 players. The events are non-combat (other than a boffer tournament), and include medieval style entertainment, roleplaying and a 4-5 course dinner.
